New Season 2011
04/12/11 05:17 PM
I am getting the boat and tackle ready for the upcoming fishing season. May 1st is the date that grouper and many other species open back up. The weather is typically much more stable and nice in May and we get a wide variety of species that time of year. The grouper fishing should be outstanding, cobia are making their migration up the coast, amberjack move inshore, and dolphin are in full force! On the break, the dolphin and, hopefully, tuna fishing will be good, along with sail and marlin fishing. Deep jigging for tuna, amberjack, grouper, snapper, cobia, and other species should be solid. Inshore the Spanish and king mackerel will be in full force and the flounder, trout, and drum will be strong. It is a great time of the year to fish with many options. We can do half day, 3/4 day, full day, and combination bottom fishing and trolling trips. We specialize in grouper and live bait fishing but are good at all of it.
Keep in mind that we have Sirius radio and a hook-up for your iPod. Also available are instant onboard weather updates. Check out the link for Spearing Magazine for a nice article on a trip we ran last year during the Wrightsville Beach Spear Fishing Tournament.
